Obituary of Amy J Monks
Amy J. Monks, Blossburg, PA, went to be with Our Lord and Savior, Monday, April 16 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 29, 1971 in Blossburg, she is the daughter of John E. (Ed) and Beverly J. Brucklacher of Liberty.
She is survived by her husband of 61/2 years, Todd M. Monks, daughter, Bailey Joy Monks, her parents, John E. and Beverly J. Brucklacher of Liberty, a sister Mary J. Myers and husband Gary L. Myers of Lock Haven, a brother John E. Brucklacher III of Liberty, a nephew Bradley S. Myers, three nieces Katelyn D. and Abby L. Brucklacher and Kelsey A. Monks, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Alba and Gale Monks of Wellsboro.
Amy grew up in Liberty and graduated from Liberty Jr. Sr. High School in 1989. She attended Cedar Crest College and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelors Degree in English. After serving in the U.S. Air-force, Amy returned home and attended Mansfield University where she graduated in 2000 with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. Amy was a member of Liberty Bible Church and also Mary Wells Chapter 452 O.E.S., Wellsboro.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the Liberty Bible Church with the Rev. Lon Williams officiating. Prior to the memorial service an O.E.S. service will be held.
The immediate family will provide the flowers for the service. In lieu of flowers, Amy requested that memorial contributions be made to the Liberty Bible Church, c/o Children's Ministry, P.O. Box 22 Liberty, PA 16930. The Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA, is assisting the family.
