I was so saddened to hear of the passing of my childhood “buddy” Chuck Cooper……I have so many fond memories of us in our very young years, as next door neighbors……riding our tricycles up and down Chuck’s driveway……building a snow fort in front of his house….rolling in the leaves…..picking wildflowers for our moms…..eating fresh peaches from the tree in my backyard, and cherries from his backyard tree…..the taste of delicious fresh baked cookies our moms made…..he was always so kind to me….always smiling….we never had a “fight”……it was so great to reconnect again, after our adult lives took us in different directions…..below, I have added two photos of us….one taken after we reconnected, and one as very young friends….I will cherish all the precious memories…..when I last visited Chuck, before the pandemic, he recalled every memory I shared with him, and added a few I had forgotten……we had a few laughs……I will miss him very much……and will be remembering his family in prayer…..I am so blessed to have had him in my life…..
