Obituary of Ernest Alexander Brown
Ernest Alexander Brown, age 89, of Trout Run, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 2, 1932, in Jersey Shore, PA, a son of Clarence and Helen (King) Brown. Ernest was the husband of the late Eileen (Roupp) Brown who passed away in 2017. He was a US Army veteran and a school teacher at Roosevelt Middle School in Williamsport, PA. Ernest enjoyed farming and leatherwork. He was a member of the PA Guild of Juried Craftsman, and the Labelle Vallee Lodge 232 F&AM.
Ernest is survived by his sons, Eric Brown, and Evan (Amy) Brown, all of Trout Run, PA; grandchildren Jacob, Rebekah (Chad) Riley, Deborah (Nathaniel) Gilmer, Samuel, Elizabeth, Emily, and Luke; great grandchildren Tucker, and Cooper Riley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen, his parents, and his sister, Nancy Aldridge.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church, 315 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, PA, with Pastor Jeff Howell officiating. There will be a private, family graveside service in the Quiggle-Roupp Cemetery in Trout Run, PA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Gatehouse UPMC Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
