Obituary of James A. Young
James "Jim" A. Young, age 54, of Elmira, NY, went home to be with Jesus, his family by his side on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born on June 30, 1967 in Marquette, MI, the son of Mark and Jane (Brundidge) Young. Jim was a firing operator for Anchor Glass and a member of Millerton Wesleyan Church where he had many life-long friends. He enjoyed playing games with family, NASCAR, and restoring cars with is dad.
Jim is survived by his parents, Mark and Jane Young; his loving fiancé, Tracy, who was the love of his life; three children, Kaitlyn Floyd, Gavin Young, and Nicole Young; and his sister and brother-in-law, Shelly and Scott Bird. He was "Pop Pop" to Meredith and Maggie. He cherished his granddaughters. They were the apple of his eye. Jim also had several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 10-11am at Millerton Wesleyan Church 5174 Main St. Millerton, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 11am with Pastor Larry Johnson officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike Suite 300 Rockville, MD 20852 or Millerton Wesleyan Church.
