Obituary of Louis M. Adams
Louis M. Adams, age 88, of Mansfield, PA, died Tuesday,, April 8, 2008 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Louis was born December 31, 1919 in Belsano, PA, a son of Shelton and Eva (Benshoff) Adams. Louis was the widow of Esther L. Adams who passed away April 5, 2008. Louis was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ Disciples; a veteran of World War II; a member of VFW Post #8730 Blossburg, and was a lifetime member of the Morris Run American Legion #167. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp. He loved hunting, fishing, spending time in the outdoors and being with nature. Louis retired from Ward Manufacturing after 39 years of service.
Louis was a loving husband, father and grandfather, survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis S. and Connie Adams of Tioga, PA, and Philip A. and Eunice Marie Adams of Mansfield, PA; six grandchildren, Nisa and Lynn Kshir, Jamey and Karen Dunkleberger, Julie Adams, and Danielle Adams; six great grandchildren, Benjamin, Sean, Mariah, Allison, Alexia and Matthew; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Elmer Kisinger of Morris Run, PA; a step-sister, Genevieve Gray of Barnesboro, PA. Louis was predeceased by his wife, Esther, brothers, Kenneth, Charles, and Lawrence Adams; half-brothers, Jack and Allen McDermott, and James Diebler; step-sisters, Catherine, Bernice and Dorothy, step-brothers, Henry, Paul, Luke and Samuel.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 11, 2008 from to 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Charsky officiating. A private burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Charleston Twp., Mansfield, PA with full military honors presented by the Tioga County Honor Guard Association.
