Obituary of Jack Lewis Shelman

Jack Lewis Shelman, age 79, of Covington, PA, passed away on December 24, 2021 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on December 6, 1942 in Corning, NY, a son of Manley and Gladys (Kennedy) Shelman. Jack and his wife, Anne (Jelliff) Shelman, would have celebrated 37 years of marriage on December 31, 2021. He was a truck driver for Jones & Bragg. Jack enjoyed his honeybees and Belgian workhorses. Jack is survived by his wife; six sons, Terry (Carol) Shelman of Covington, PA, Craig Shelman of Wellsboro, PA, Kelvin Shelman of Tioga, PA, Alan Shelman of Philadelphia, PA, Brian (Christina) Shelman of Mansfield, PA, and Timothy "Bud" Moran of Lacey, WA; two daughters, Tina (Jay) Adams of Covington, PA, and Kim (Jamie) Lattimer of Lockwood, NY; twenty one grandchildren, Nichole Warriner, Nicholas Shelman, Dawndrea Shelman, Tanner Shelman, Cassie Shelman, Jessica Shelman, Andrew Shelman, Chelsea Wood, Jordan Adams, Joshua Adams, Tyler Gernert, Kaylee Lattimer, Chrissy Shelman, Melinda Shelman, Joshua Murray, Brianna Shelman, Corey Shelman, Nathan Shelman, Zach Moran, Cody Moran, and Kelly Shelman; several great grandchildren; a brother, Max Shelman of Sedrowooley, WA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Scott Shelman; five sisters, Geraldine Johnson, Margaret Dolley, Hazel Paulo, Grace Carl, and Lila Patterson; and three brothers, Carl, Merle, and Alec Shelman. Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 5-7pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will take place in Tioga County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
