Obituary of Geraldine Johnson

Geraldine (Shelman) Johnson, age 95, of Lawrenceville, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her home. She was born on January 29, 1926 in Rutland Twp., PA, a daughter of Manley and Gladys (Kennedy) Shelman. Geraldine was married to Stanley W. Johnson, Sr. She was a beautician and owned Geraldine Johnson's Beauty Shop. Geraldine was a member of East Lawrence Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, PA. Geraldine is survived by; a son, Stanley (Cindy) Johnson, Jr. of Horseheads, NY; a daughter, Connie (Bruce) Tolbert of Millerton, PA; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; great great grandchildren and two brothers, Max (Marie) Shelman of Sedrowooley, WA, and Jack (Ann) Shelman of Covington, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Steven Johnson; three brothers, Carl Shelman, Merle Shelman, and Alec Shelman; and four sisters, Margaret Dolley, Hazel Paulo, Grace Carl, and Lila Patterson. A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery at the family's convenience. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
