Obituary of Darwin L. Rush

Darwin L. "Barney" Rush, age 91, of Covington, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on May 4, 1930, in Plumsteadville, PA, a son of Raymond and Sally (Leatherman) Rush. Barney was the husband of Janice (Clymer) Rush, with whom he would have celebrated 68 years of matrimony on December 27. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked as a meat cutter for Hatfield Quality Meats and Blooming Glen Pork Products. Barney enjoyed hunting, times at the beach, watching sports, and feeding birds. Barney is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter, Pat (Tim) Loux of Nauvoo, PA; sons, Jeff (Deanne) Rush of Nauvoo, PA and Tim (Jolene) Rush of Bedford County, PA; grandchildren, Matthew Loux, Megan Forgeng, Nathan Loux, Aaron Rush, Seth Rush, Adam Rush, Jarryd Rush, and Janelle Supik; great grandchildren, Kali DeCastro, Aaron Loux, Marissa Forgeng, Eden Forgeng, Levi Forgeng, Paige Rush, Zoé Rush, Chase Rush, Brenan Miller, and Laina Miller; brother, Willard (Sonia) Rush of Bucks County, PA; sister Ruth Ann Moyer of Tulford, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herb, Clyde, Robert, and Harold Rush and sisters, Mildred Bower, Olive Rush, and Jean Horst. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
