I will always remember Bob in two ways: An occasional gym class teacher from my early youth and as the man who made my mother very happy in the 90s. Mom, Marijane McNaney, was engaged to Bob when she passed away in 1996. I enjoyed getting to know him and appreciated his love of books and music as well as his personality and sense of humor. I was saddened to hear about his passing and offer condolences to his friends and family.

May you Rest In Peace Mr. Houser. I will always remember you as a man that did the things that needed to be done that so many us may have taken for granted. From being an official at track meets for decades or to preparing ball fields to pristine conditions for so many athletes to play on. You may not have been a native to Blossburg but you were Blossburg Proud. The quiet man with the deep voice always wearing a college hoodie will be what I remember. You served our community well and helped raise generations of youth. Rest now Mr. Houser.

One of the most giving persons I have ever met. His years of acting as a Starter for track meets in and around Tioga County earned him plenty of respect from coaches and athletes. I have missed seeing you the past 6 years.
