Obituary of Jeanette Brion
Jeanette (Kendrick) Brion, age 83, of Covington, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She was born on April 3, 1938, in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes (Berguson) Kendrick. Jeanette had been married to the late Donald B. Brion for 63 years before his passing on September 25, 2020. Jeanette worked as a waitress at Maple Lanes Bowling Alley for over 40 years. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ Disciples in Covington, PA, where she taught Sunday School and vacation bible school for many years. Jeanette was a member of the church choir and CWF. She loved bowling and bowled on many leagues at Maple Lanes and in tournaments throughout the country. Jeanette enjoyed babysitting grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friend's children, planting in her garden, yardwork, family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was always quick to help in any fundraiser, activities and dinners in the church.
Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Joe) Kriner of Covington, PA, Annette (Todd) Winder of Eden, NY, and Liz Smith of Covington, PA; sister, Joan Antes of Mansfield, PA; brothers, Raymond (Mary Ann) Kendrick of Blossburg, PA, and Harold (Dorothy) Kendrick of Covington, PA; grandchildren, Angela (Anthony) Garritano, Jessie (Dr. Elizabeth Cieniewicz) Kriner, Dr. Nicolette Winder of Tampa, FL and Brice Winder of Eden, NY, and Lauren and Brion Smith; great grandchildren, Sofia and Noelia Garritano. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; infant daughter, Marlene Kendrick Brion; son-in-law, Lane Smith; special son, Peter Mogush.
A private family funeral service will be held at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Burial will take place in Gray Cemetery, Covington, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeanette to the Church of Christ Disciples, PO Box 185, Covington, PA. 16917.
