Obituary of George S. Fethers
George S. Fethers, age 88, of Williamsport, PA, formerly of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at The Gatehouse in Williamsport. He was born on August 28, 1933 in Mainesburg, PA, the son of Grant and Daisey (Hager) Fethers. George married Dorothy Johnson on August 4, 1957. He had been employed with Remington Rand for 6 years and later retired from the Mansfield Borough. George was a member of Roseville United Methodist Church, Reo Truck Club, AMA, and National Rifle Association.
George is survived by his wife; two daughters, Deborah (Martin) Vail of Williamsport, PA, and Linda (Paul) Betts of Hamilton, VA; four grandchildren, Bryon (Melanie) Vail, John DuRussell, Kristen (Ernesto) LaRosa, Felicia (Willie) Walton; three step grandchildren, Kayla Betts, Anthony Betts, and Nicole Betts; and two great grandchildren, Alex Vail, and Jahvon LaRosa.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Kitty Keller. Burial will take place in Tioga County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Roseville United Methodist Church 4118 Route 549 Mansfield, PA 16933.
