Obituary of Walter D. Dilly
Walter D. Dilly, Sr., age 74, of Tioga, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 15, 1948 in Marion County, WV, a son of Stanley William and Nellie M. (Sloan) Dilly. Walter was a tank operator for Corning Inc. He enjoyed scratch off lottery tickets and crossword puzzles.
Walter is survived by his children, Walter (Florence) Dilly, Jr. Savona, NY, Tina (Jack) Rothenburgh of Lawrenceville, PA, David (Patsy) Dilly of Lawrenceville, PA, Michael (Brenda) Dilly of Lawrenceville, PA; stepdaughter, Jean (Daniel) Taber of Tioga, PA; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and two sisters, Genevieve Stock of Wellsboro, PA, and Betty Knapp of Lawrenceville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, April Dilly; a sister, Helen Knapp; five brothers, Raymond Dilly, Roy Dilly, Bill Dilly, Bob Dilly, and Stanley Dilly, Jr.; a step grandson, Dennis Gee, Jr.; common law wife, Gertrude Braster.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1-2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2:00pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
