Gus was my best friend in the world. We met 80 years ago in first grade at Anne C. Green Elementary in Seekonk, MA. We spent many happy days camping, fishing, and hunting together. After high school we lost touch but met again at our 45th high school reunion. We stayed in close touch after that and visited back and forth with him and Mary. He was a great friend and a wonderful person, and I will remember him as long as I live. I am so grateful to Chris for letting me know about his death. We are animal lovers like Gus and will be so happy to donate to the Animal Sanctuary in his memory. Norman Baker
The service will be at a very special place: A beautiful church were dad's brother Strathmore Kilkenny was minister, dad's mother Alice Kilkenny was organist, dad was married to my mom Beth Ide, I was baptized, and dad's mother and brother are buried. Our family home during my childhood is next to the church across a farm field. My parents are exiting the church on their wedding day in this photo. The service will be held on Thursday, September 16 at 2pm at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 3714 Fox Hill Rd, Ulysses, PA.
Over the past few years, I've spent time with your dad at my mom's house (I am Jackie's daughter, Laura). He came over for dinners and we had great conversations. Your dad was so nice and so friendly. He will be greatly missed.

When I was very young I went to my dad's office at the Pentagon just before Halloween and he told me his job was to make "pumpkin plans" - jack-o'-lantern designs for the military. He even showed me some of his pumpkin drawings! Dad, I love you and miss you and I'm so proud to be your son.
