Obituary of Phyllis Montgomery
Phyllis Montgomery, age 75, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Broad Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. She was the wife of the late Thomas Montgomery, who died on November 2, 2019. Phyllis was born in Cass City, MI, the daughter of Clarence and Edith (Smithson) Ewald. She had enjoyed working at the Green Home as a Registered Nurse. Phyllis's favorite hobbies included cooking, crafts, and scrapbooking.
Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Christopher (Niki) Montgomery of Wellsboro, PA, and Jason Montgomery of Watrous, PA; two grandchildren, Jeremy, and Leona; a brother, Bill (Jean) Ewald of Rockford, MI, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Ruth, and a brother Richard.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 11:00 AM to noon at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral will immediately follow the viewing at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. David Blowers officiating. Burial will be in Wellsboro Cemetery.
