It broke my heart to learn of Kathy's passing. We were neighbors and friends as children and continued to keep in touch throughout the years. I always looked forward to her handwritten letters and cards...she never missed a birthday or Christmas card. She had so little, but always managed to give to those charities near and dear to her heart. The world can be hard and harder still when you're alone, but Kathy always managed to maintain her dignity and a caring attitude toward others. I, too, learned of her passing because of a returned Christmas card. Rest in peace, dear Kathy....you will most certainly be missed.
