Obituary of Eleanor J. Hamilton
Eleanor J. Hamilton, age 93, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on November 23, 1927 in Liberty, PA, a daughter of Ernest and Ruth (Mase) Yoder. Eleanor was married to the late James "Jim" Hamilton for 72 years who passed away on June 4, 2018. She was a beautician and owned Eleanor's Beauty Salon. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church and enjoyed painting, crocheting, and crafting.
Eleanor is survived by three sons, J. Scott (Karen) Hamilton of Henrietta, NY, David (Nancy) Hamilton of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Todd (Kimberly) Hamilton of Canton, PA; two daughters, Sharyn (Maynard) Kreger of Hornell, NY, and Vicky Hamilton Green of Nazareth, PA; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter, Gabrielle; one brother, Arnie Yoder of Wellsboro, PA; a brother-in-law, Larry Mase of Liberty, PA; and a sister-in-law, Joan Yoder of Arnot, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Charles and Ray Yoder; and three sisters, Mary Rogers, Esther Raker, and Beverly Mase.
Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 1-2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 2pm Pastor Thomas Harmick officiating. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery in Liberty, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to Friedens Lutheran Church PO Box 132 Liberty, PA 16930.
