Obituary of Earl R Carpenter

Earl R. Carpenter, age 79, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. He was born on January 7, 1942, in Blossburg, PA, a son of Robert and Alice (Plumbley) Carpenter. Earl was the husband of Ruth (Logan) Carpenter with whom he would have celebrated 58 years of matrimony on August 23. He was self-employed in the plumbing and heating industry. Earl was a veteran of the US Navy and enjoyed singing karaoke music, playing in a band, fishing, camping, and playing cards. Earl is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons Gregory Earl (Deniese) Carpenter of Trout Run, PA and Michael Lee Carpenter of Wellsboro, PA; brothers David (Tina) Carpenter of NC, and Carl Carpenter of Wellsboro, PA; sisters Brenda (Tony) Baker of Brighton, PA and Bonnie (Mark) Thomas of Kittaning, PA; grandchildren Paige, Corey, Michael and Gabriel and great-granddaughter River. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family are invited to call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM with Lenard Abbey officiating. Burial will take place in Tioga County Memorial Gardens.
