Obituary of Roy Frost Cummings, Jr.

Roy Frost Cummings, Jr., age 89, of Mansfield, PA passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Sheila's Personal Care Home in Mansfield, PA. He was born on October 11, 1931 in Mansfield, PA, a son of Roy Frost and Sadie Pink (Jones) Cummings, Sr. Roy and his wife, Doratha Cummings, owned and operated the Wellsboro Diner. Roy also worked as a truck driver for Root Oil Co. for 27 years. He loved to work on trucks and equipment. Roy is survived by his son, Michael (Susan) Cummings of Mansfield, PA; a daughter, Bonnie Cummings of Mansfield, PA; a daughter-in-law, Joy Cummings of Mansfield, PA; nine grandchildren, Michael (Jean) Cummings, Jr., Lucus (Brandi) Cummings, Mandy (Dan Doney) Tice, Andee (Matt) Bryan, Chris (Pam) Cummings, Erick (Nicole) Cummings, Chad (Megan Deming) Cummings, Josh (Amy) Cummings, and Catie (Michael) Strahota; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Cena McClintok of FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Thomas R. Cummings; and five sisters. Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 6-8pm and Friday, May 21, 2021 from 12-1pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow on Friday at 1pm. Burial will take place in Tioga County Memorial Gardens in Mansfield, PA.
