Obituary of George Albert Copp
George Albert Copp, age 87, of Covington Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 22, 1933 in Covington Twp., a son of Lawrence and Ethel (Hagar) Copp. George was married to the late Rita (Forrest) Copp. He retired as a punch press operator for Keystone and attended Cherry Flats Baptist Church. George was a veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Wellsboro, PA and the VFW in Mansfield, PA. George enjoyed euchre, haying, hobby farming, and dogs.
George is survived by his sons, Tommy (Kim) Copp of Millerton, PA, and Michael (Brenda) Copp of Covington, PA; three daughters, Kathy (Jack) Pino of Covington, PA, Sharon (Bruce) Dyer of Elmira, NY, and Karen (Dale) Bailey of Mansfield, PA; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and his significant other, Louise Dibble of Covington Twp., PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Lawrence Copp; and two sisters, Norma Kilmer, and Eleanor Lee.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 1-2pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2pm with Pastor Liz Jackson officiating. Burial will take place in Bowen/Copp Cemetery.
