Obituary of Patricia W. Pendergast

Patricia W. Pendergast, age 83, of Covington, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1937 in Meriden, CT, a daughter of Frederick and Sophie (Swinka) Semrau. Patricia was married to the late Robert E. Pendergast who passed away on January 3, 1993. She worked in nursing and volunteered for hospice. Patricia was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the red hatters in Blossburg, PA. She enjoyed crocheting, volunteer work, gardening, and baking. Patricia is survived by her son, Dennis Semrau of Covington, PA; a daughter, Mary Sasseen of NC; five grandchildren, Sharon, Benjamin, Thais, Kenya, and Kyle; six great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Semrau of FL, and Lelia Semrau of Millersburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Daniel and Frederick Semrau; a sister, Willamena Semrau; and a grandson, Charles. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 2pm at St. James Episcopal Church 18 St. James St. Mansfield, PA with Reverend Janis Yskamp officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to St. James Episcopal Church, a hospice care of one's choice, or a humane society of one's choice. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S.
