Obituary of Horst Strassburg

Horst Strassburg, age 92, of Covington, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Signature Healthcare in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on March 23, 1929 in Breslau, Germany, a son of August Gustav and Elizabeth (Grunert) Strassburg. Horst was married to Susan (Lisowski-Unangst) Strassburg. He was the food and beverage director for Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia. He was a member of Friendship Lodge #350 F&AM. Horst is survived by a son, Joseph Strassburg of Philadelphia, PA; a stepson, James Unangst of Blossburg, PA; and four step grandchildren, Brooke Unangst, Ryan Unangst, Cyrus Unangst, and Annabell Strange. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Werner Strassburg, Guntner Strassburg, and Heinz Strassburg. In honoring Horst's wishes, there will be no services. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
