I will always remember my American Gran... She showed me her ham radio and sewing techniques, beat everyone at Scrabble and Uno, took me places in beautiful Tioga County, and listened to my stories. Rest in Peace, I will miss you! Anastasia

I will always love and remember Adda. She and I first connected through ham radio as my father and brother were hams for many years. While I was never a ham, grew up around the practice and understand and shared many of the memories she told me about.
We became pen pals years ago and later e-mail pals - sharing many of the same beliefs and activities of being a church member, mom , Girl Scout leader, community activist, cook, seamstress, etc. She was truly an amazing woman.
There is one gold star in Heaven today after welcoming Adda to God's family.

I remember Mrs. Gontarz from the early 1980s. I was Andy friend and even though she didn't know me, she treated me kindly. I remember her as being up-beat and energetic. She will be missed by all.

After I became a licensed ham radio operator, Adda was one of the first female operators I met. She lived a very full, complete, and adventurous life, and will be missed by many.

Family was important to mom. She raised her kids in a loving and respectful manner. We are all so grateful to her for giving us the space to grow while still keeping us on the right path. You will be forever missed. This was the last picture we had together.

Enjoyed hearing about her Girl Scout leader days. Sorry I didn't know her longer and better. If she were a man, she could have been head of GE.

To the family: Adda was always very kind to me. She wrote me some great emails, and I was happy to be able to help her out with a few things. She was truly an inspiration for being able to do as much as she did, hardly ever missing a club meeting!

Adda was a joy to know. Such a sense of humor, brilliant mind, and more energy than women her age should ever have! I will miss her and think of her for years to come - she will live on my my heart. Someday, in heaven, we will again visit and share many more laughs and hugs!
