Obituary of Nancy Joy Bray
Nancy Joy (Devine) Bray of Wellsboro went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, February 28. Born in 1956 to Jack and Ruth Devine in Paterson, NJ, her middle name, Joy, spoke to her love for life. Her joyous personality lit up a room and her enthusiasm was contagious. Nancy used her lifelong passion of music to bring song to her church, Stony Fork Baptist. She was an accomplished musician, a talented quilter and seamstress, a delicious baker, and enjoyed swimming, skiing, animals, and being outside. For many years she worked as the bookkeeper for the Richmond Township Municipal Authority. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandma to her granddaughters—Kendra, Kylie, Ellery, and Norah. She was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Scott, and her children Steve (Erin) Bray of Carlisle, and Melissa Taylor of Rochester, NY, in addition to a sister Barbara (Dave) Chapman of South Pasadena, FL. Services will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to: Stony Fork Baptist Church Missionary Fund.
