I loved her spirit and her generous heart for those in need. She always had a smile and when she was out and about, she would always stop folks to check in on how they were doing. Cherry loved her pets, especially her kitties. Cherry was loved and will be missed. An Angel for sure!!!

Cherry “Mrs.Miller” was by far one of the most important people in my life, helped me through some really hard times and stood by my side when no one else would. This world has lost one of its most loving beings. I’ll miss you Cherry.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Cherry for a few years before she retired. What a fantastic lady who cared for her students and collegues. She loved her school and community. Our conversations were always full of laughter and jokes, making interactions with her something I looked forward to. She could bring tears to my eyes in laughter. Fly high, my friend! Heaven has another angel!

Dear Miss Cherry,
We had a wonderful time working with all the children together. "What a pair" you would always say "my little lotus blossom!" It saddens my heart that you had to leave us so soon. I am so glad I seen you a couple months ago. Still full of humor and always helping others smile. The memories I have of you will forever live in my heart and soul. Perhaps we will see one another again. Blessings to you and to all those you left behind.

Cherry was a unique person...she could make anyone smile with her sense of humor. I met Cherry in the early 70’s when she was still in high school. She visited my home many times, being friends of my son. Throughout the years when we met, she was always the same happy-go-lucky Gal! My sincere condolences to Chad & Olivia..your Mom/Gram is now your Guardian Angel and will watch over you always! Fly high my dear friend...safe in the arms of Jesus!

Prayers for Cherry's family. You and Cherry were all such a bright spot while I shared a room at Broad Acers long ago. Cherry and Ted would come in and spend time with Anne and Ron who were in opposite ends of the building. You all made me feel like my visitors too. I remember one day Anne said "I wish I could go out in the hallway like you do". I said 'Why can't you?'. She said "I don't know how". I said 'I'll teach you' I had a non working L hand and Fx L hip and went around in a wheel chair. She had a Fx L shoulder and Fx L hip. About the same problems. So I taught her how to take off her W/C brakes with just her R hand, steer with R foot on the floor and use just R hand on the wheel to move ahead. That day we only made it about 40 feet up to the nurses station, with a couple of rest stops. When we got up there we just sat until the nurse saw us. The nurse said "Why Anne, how did you get up here?" Anne said "Mary taught me how to go on my own. That made the nurse so happy. Until then Anne just stayed in her room feeling sorry for herself. In the days that followed we adventured out each day. We got down to the bird room, a lounge room, with a beautiful bird in its' cage, which was half way to Ron's room. One day she wanted to go see Ron, so off we went. I went back to the bird room and waited for her. In about half an hour Anne came back and told me she was ready to go back to our room. So off we went again. After that Anne's mood improved. When I visited her after my discharge she told me how she stuck up for her new room mate like I did for her. Thank you for making me feel like your family too, you were all great.
