Obituary of David James DeLosa
David James DeLosa, age 76, of Covington, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital. David was born on April 28, 1944 in Long Island, NY, a son of David and Dorothy (Baker) DeLosa. He and his wife, Jennifer (Slatic) DeLosa, were married for 53 years. David worked for PennDot as the Bradford and Erie County Manager. He was also a Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Holy Child Catholic Church. David enjoyed boating, camping, snowmobiling, traveling, working in the garage with his brother, Allen, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife; a son, David DeLosa of Covington, PA; two daughters, Jennifer DeLosa of Presto, PA, and Elizabeth (Matthew) Hoopes of Mars, PA; four grandchildren, David James, Dalton David, Daniel James, and Maxwell James; three great grandchildren, Brody James, Gage Arthur, and Jade Marie; two brothers, Allen (Diana) DeLosa of Mosherville, PA, and Thomas (Kathy) DeLosa of Mesa, AZ; two sisters, Judi (Micky) Walls of Camp Verde, AZ, and Debra (Robert) Romero of Phoenix, AZ; and many friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11am at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA with Reverend Bryan Wright officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospitals for Children Processing Center, PO Box 863765 Orlando, FL 32886.
