Obituary of Kenneth E. Gernert
Kenneth E. Gernert, age 71, of Troy, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Gateway Hospice in Williamsport, PA. He was born on February 6, 1949, in Troy, PA, a son of John "Jack" and Wanita (Wescott) Gernert. Kenneth was the husband of Carolyn (Clark) Gernert. He worked as a truck driver in his own trucking business and was a member of the Central State Teamsters. He enjoyed trucking, mechanical work and showing horses.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Tammie Gernert, Jr. of Hawkinsville, GA; stepdaughter Christie Jo (Billy Watkins) Martin of Mansfield, PA; brother and sister-in-law William and Carol Gernert of Columbia Cross Roads, PA; sisters and brothers-in-law Beverly and Terry Yoder of Mansfield, PA and Norma and Paul Bellows of Canton, PA along with grandchildren Kenneth Tyler Gernert, Emalyn Gernert, McKenna Gernert, Clayton Minier and Alex Young. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family are invited to call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Marple officiating. Burial will take place in State Road Cemetery in Mainesburg, PA.
