Obituary of Fred E. Lamb
Fred E. Lamb, age 86, of Covington, PA, died Monday, December 15, 2008 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Fred was born December 9, 1922 in Masten, PA a son of the late Floyd and Emma Walker Lamb. He was married for 59 years to the late Emily Jean (Eberenz) Lamb. Fred was a member of Covington Church of Christ (Disciples), Army Air Core Veteran serving during WWII. He was past commander of Mansfield VFW and a member of the F&AM in Mansfield, PA. Fred was a very talented musician and played the violin, guitar, piano, saxophone, clarinet and accordion all by ear.
Fred is survived by his children and their spouses Judy (Ayers) and Earl Brooks of Tioga, PA, Jackie and Donald Davies of Coweta, OK, Tim and Deb Lamb of Covington, PA, Craig and Mary Lou Lamb of Lambs Creek, PA, Laurie and Jerry Hodder of Welsch Settlement, PA; brother Arthur (Jean) Lamb of Big Bear Lake, CA; sister Doris Lamb Scott of Sylvania, PA; 13 grandchildren; several great grand children. Fred was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Jean Lamb in 1992; sister Ethel Lamb and his wife Emily Jean Lamb in 2005.
In keeping with Freds wishes there will be no services. Burial to take place in Gray Cemetery in Covington, PA.
