Obituary of John Edward Wood
John Edward Wood, age 75, of Millerton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on August 6, 1945 in Blossburg, PA, a son of Herman and Bessie Wood. John was self employed as a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions, and cow sales.
John is survived by his daughter, Helen (Mike Gardner) Ribble of Carlisle, PA; two sons, Leonard Frost of Millerton, PA; John White of Pittsburgh, PA; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a brother, Dick Wood of Millerton, PA; and a sister, Linda of Cortland, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
In honoring John's wishes, there will be no services. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
