Obituary of Shirley Smith
Shirley Bellinger Smith, 79 of Arnot entered into heaven on Jan. 2, 2021 at her home.
Born in Blossburg, and a lifelong area resident, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marian (Ogden) Bellinger Sr.
The wife of Richard H. Smith, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 30, 2020.
Shirley was a graduate of Blossburg High School, worked at Liberty Lingerie, Human Health Services and was a supervisor at Partners in Progress before retiring.
She is survived by her husband Richard, five children, Harry (Dana) Watkins of Holtwood, Timothy Watkins of Waverly, NY, Todd Watkins of Elkland, Dr. Landon (Anna) Smith of Dubach, LA and Amy (Michael) Reagan of Athens; her 11 grandchildren: Matthew Watkins, Jennifer Hlubny, Haylee Traver, Kylee Snyder, Nate Watkins, Dylan, Mason, Karigan and Barrett Smith, Justin and Jeffrey Reagan and 11 great-grandchildren, Faith and Matthew Watkins, Kwynn and Macklin Hlubny, Jocelyn, Rylee, Millie Sue and Archer Traver, Nathan, Levi and Mason Snyder; her sisters Lois (Delmer) Kirkendall of Arnot, Beverly Campbell of Blossburg, Charlotte Heck of Liberty, and brother Harold (Carol) Bellinger, Jr. of Arnot,.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Watkins Sr. and sister Betty Clark Phelps, brothers-in-law: Sandy Clark, Richard Phelps, Russell Campbell, Dick Urban, and Gordon Heck.
Shirley was devoted to her family and friends. She loved all who she came in contact with and her love and pride for her family will be felt throughout their lifetime.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
