I shall never forget his kindness, encouragement, and amazing talent! There are so many hearts he lifted, so many people who considered him a friend on the air, and a voice and personality forever young. My heart and thoughts are with you.

My deepest sympathies! I met Mike in 1976 when I was 16 years old. He gave me a tour of the studios of WIND Chicago and help instill in me my love of those magnetic impressions which for me make the radio fun to listen to: jingles. Super Splice helped get me started on my jingle collection with his samplers as well as the TM custom packages for KDKA, WIND, WBZ, WOWO, WMAQ, WNBC and KNBR. I was in radio advertising sales 20 years. Was grateful to reconnect with Mike through social media and LinkedIn. Peace be with all of you as you celebrate his life.

He is now your guardian angel, watching your every moves. Michael was one of a kind. He will be missed by many. I remember when he was a young boy and would come to State College to spend weekends with us and his father. Sending hugs and prayers to the whole family. RIP Michael

Mike was Program Director at
WGY Radio ...the big 50-thousand
watt powerhouse of The General Electric Broadcasting Company.
It was back in the very late 70s
and early 80s when I arrived to
anchor the afternoon news...and
Mike was a super boss who once
sent me a simple note after I
got off the air one day. Mike's
note simply said...
"Peter...GREAT newscast !
Neff"
That note meant the world to
me...especially at that time
when I was a new kid at the
station. I still have Mike's note.

Mike was a great guy! A true radio broadcasting professional. I owe Mike deep gratitude for his role in helping my radio career succeed. Creative, bright and witty. He was a great collector of radio station jingles. A very talented program director and production director. Both jobs he held during his illustrious career in radio. He will be missed.
Our best to his family,
Joe & Kathy Gallagher

Mike was a true professional in the radio industry. Talking was his strength. I first knew him as the water boy and stats keeper for our high school basketball team. He really knew how to slice an orange. He was a main speaker at the funeral of John Farrer, our mutual friend. He was a real comfort to Linda and others. He was always willing to reach out to the “quiet” ones. He will be missed.
