Obituary of Eugene P. Hockemeyer

Eugene "Gene" P. Hockemeyer, age 88, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at The Green Home in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on June 19, 1932 in St. Louis, MO, a son of Frederick and Pearl (Stiemoing) Hockemeyer. Gene was married to Betty (Southworth) Hockemeyer. He worked as a certified public accountant and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Gene was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Gene is survived by his wife; two sons, Eugene "Phil" Hockemeyer, Jr., and Steven Jerome Hockemeyer; two daughters, Karen Hockemeyer, and Bobbie Christine; three step daughters, Marcia Smith, Gwen Blatt, and Lori Beckwith; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Paul Hockemeyer. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Wellsboro Cemetery. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
