Obituary of Judith Ruth Ogden

Judith "Judi" Ruth Ogden, age 70, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her home in Trout Run, PA. Judi was married to the late Allan J. Ogden. She was born September 25, 1950, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Albert L. and Ruth B. (Genter) Landes. She was a graduate of Bucks County High School and was enjoying a quiet retirement life. Judi lived a full life as a mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend. Her hobbies included working on cars, crocheting, cross-stitching, and a lifelong love of horses. She also enjoyed spending as much time with her children and grandchildren as possible. Judi loved taking her children swimming and fishing in ponds/rivers, going to demolition derbies, and picking berries. Life with Judi was always colorful, and her laugh was infectious to those around her. Judi's selfless kindness was a gift she shared with the world; there was not a stranger that Judi would see in need and not offer to help. Judi is survived by her sons, Trevor L. Ogden of Blossburg, PA, and James D. Stevens Jr. of Wellsboro, PA; four daughters, Jennifer A. (John) Shaffer of Elkland, PA, Samantha J. Stevens of Hatteras, NC, Michelle R. (Andrew) Palmeri of Sharpsburg, GA, and Melissa J. (William) Ogden-Winders of Blossburg, PA; fifteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert M. Landes of Hudson, FL; two nieces, Tara and Myra; and two nephews, BJ, and Joe. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 4:00pm at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA.
