I was Joe's roommate at Bloomsburg State College in the fall of 1969. He was a very sweet guy. He taught me alot about music. I remember one of our first conversations was about Van Morrison's Astral Weeks. He wanted to know if I had heard it. I had not. He was right on target about how great and influential this album was. I still listen to it and always think of him when I do.
I just found out about Joe. I worked with him at the Holiday Inn and we were conversing lastly when he was recovering at a home in Williamsport, Pa. Then I didn't hear from him anymore and as a little time went by I tried emailing him to no answer and I thought that was odd. Joe was a great guy, loved his blues and did a great job at the Holiday Inn hotel. I started there 1992 and was let go 2016 .
May I ask what happened that he passed?

Joe's brothers and sisters were the very best of folk. I had nothing but love for them. They were all of good humor and kind.
