Obituary of Dale B. Monks

Dale B. Monks, age 70, of Wellsboro, PA, died at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. He was the husband of Janet (Neal) Monks for 47 years. Dale was born on May 11, 1938 in Blossburg, PA, a son of Stephen and Louise (Ingerick) Monks. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Dale is survived by his wife, Janet; a son, Vincent (Donna Emmick) Monks of Wellsboro, PA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle Monks of Arnot, PA, Nichole and (Kevin) Weiskopff of Wellsboro, PA; four grandchildren, Tyler L. and Tess A. Monks, Garett and Amber Weiskopff; and a step sister, Linda (Bob) Smith of Mansfield, PA. Dale was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy D. and Terri Monks, a brother, Llewyn Monks, and a sister, Shirley Enderle. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from Noon to 1:00 P.M. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the calling hours at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Pastor Darwin Tink Cranmer officiating. Burial will be in the Shumway Hill Cemetery, Wellsboro, PA.
