My deepest sympathies to your family. When Barbara was in Tioga County Cooperative Extension, she was a leader of the Tioga County 4-H Council, of which I was a member. 4-H was instrumental in my young life, and Barbara’s dedication had a part to play in that. I knew Lee and Gay, and I could tell she was also a good mother to them.

I,too, have fond memories of Barb when I first started with Penn State Extension in 1967 in Indiana County. Even though we didn't work in the same region, she made it look easy to work within one's county, one's district, one's state and then be a part of a national effort to promote the need for the skills taught in home economics (now referred to Family and Consumer Science) She was truly a role model to me in those early years. She was a dedicated and hard worker while being a farmer's wife, mother, grandmother and be a community leader at the same time. My prayers to her family during this time. May she rest in peace.

I began my PSU extension career in 1971 and Barb took me under her wings to help create extension programs in Warren County and later across PA as a family living, 4-H and community development educator. My best memory was her taking to my first National Extension annual convention in NY state Grosingers. It was so new to me and she was able to teach me the ways of an extension educator as well as met educator across USA. I know she did this for other extension educator while in PA. My thoughts of sympathy for the family and know the many blessing she created for others.

Barb lived all 24 hours a day as though she were trying to fit 2 lifetimes in one. She was the point around which her whole family rotated as though she provided the light for them to grow, yet they each became their own persons as she wanted them to do.
Barb was a very special lady. I will never forget her as she lead 4-H. I learned so much from her and is probably one of the reasons why I wanted a club. My thoughts and prayers are with Richard and the family. God Bless You all.
