I didn't know JoAnne, but I do own a pastel drawing by Red Skelton, given to her in 1992, with the inscription, "Jo Ann, Dear Heart." When I purchased the portrait, it also included JoAnne's TWA identification tag. I proudly display both items in my apartment.

Jo Schuetz was an icon at TWA. She was #2 in seniority (not sure if she was ever #1), however she was a true legend to fly with. She also had a private pilots license. She was smart, well read and a very hard worker. Jo truly was one of TWA's classics!
I'm attaching a photo I took of Jo on our last TWA/AA trip to Maui. We are all sitting out enjoying the sunset as well as a few ice cold beers. Sadly Jo has now flown West to be with the rest of our TWA family flying the universe in our TWA 747!

I am just heartbroken to hear of Jo Ann's (and Howards) passing! Jo Ann always sent me lovely cards for every single holiday and was just the biggest support when I lost my beloved career at TWA. We would talk on the phone occasionally and trade emails but I noticed she hadn't sent a card this spring for Easter, which was so unlike her. Her kindness to me will never be forgotten. I pray her family has peace and comfort in knowing she was very special to myself and so many others. In deepest sympathy, she will live on in our hearts.
