Obituary of Mary T. Corcoran

Mary T. Corcoran, age 93, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 13, 1926 in Philadelphia, a daughter of Jacob and Gertrude (Thompson) Bakeoven. Mary was married to Elmer "Tex" Corcoran. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. Mary loved all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and she enjoyed music. Mary is survived by her daughter, Cindy (George) Thompson of Wellsboro; seven grandchildren, Mary Campbell, Heather Yocum, Shannon Davis, Stephanie Davis, Steven Thompson, and Kaitlin (Keenan) Strykowski; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Blumer. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Bonnie Pheasant; a granddaughter, Patricia Pheasant; a sister, Thelma Mercer; and two brothers, Roy Bakeoven, and Alvin Bakeoven. A private graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
