Obituary of Joanne Compton Wilson
Joanne Compton Wilson, age 76, of Millerton, PA, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. She was born on January 2, 1944 in Philadelphia, a daughter of Fred and Beatrice Welcher. Joanne was married to James Wilson. She worked as a cook for Mark's Brothers.
Joanne is survived by her son, Ronald (Melody) Peoples of Berwick, PA; a daughter, Mary (Brett) Townsend of Corning, NY; four grandchildren, Fred Brown III, Kayla Peoples, Breanna Peoples, and Rachael Peoples; two great grandchildren, Jeslyn Riggs, and Isabella Mace; three brothers, Fred Welcher, Kevin Kilderry, and Jimmy Kilderry; and a sister, Christine Boukalis of Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
