Lynne,
We were so sorry to hear of Rudy's passing. The world is definitely a lesser place without him. Take comfort in knowing he will continue God's work in the afterlife.
I was so proud to have known Rudy and work with him in his service to the local community. I thought the video posted on this site was a great tribute to a great man. Maria and I will be praying for you and your family.
If I can be of any service, please don't hesitate to reach out.
With a heavy heart,
Jim Nobles

Dear Lynne and family,
Paul and I were so sad to hear that Rudy died. Lynne, thank you so much for calling me. How I wish I had not been in a chaotic place when you called so that we could have had a quiet moment.
We are so grateful that we got to see you both again after so many years. Your home in Parry Sound is beautiful. It exudes love and hospitality. It was fun to reminisce and to catch up on the past decades, with all the wonderful stories of children, grandchildren, and canine family members sharing the good times. We were duly impressed with the church schedule he kept up in Canada after retiring from St James. It was good to pray together. We were so looking forward to getting together again next year, and hoping for that Bexley Hall reunión.
All the wonderful photos of Rudy with all of you, smiling with that little twinkle in his eye bear witness to a life well lived, and a contentment with that life. Well done good and faithful servant.
Rudy’s departure from this life is a loss for so many whose lives he touched. We are lucky to be among those.
RIP

Rudy was a wonderful wonderful man.I met him when he would faithfully visit my mother Minnie when she was a resident of Leisureworld in Gravenhurst. His visits were so delightful. My mother adored him.He would always bring her a plant along with a lovely card signed in his beautiful penmanship. His hugs were the best.I always seemed to be there when he came in.There is absolutely no doubt where Rudy is right now.He is at the right hand of God .Of that we can be sure.Rest in peace Rudy.Thoughts and prayers to the family.Christine Simmons Thompson(Rev.Peter’s sister)xo

Rudy had an amazing impact on my life. He served as a second father figure during most of my childhood. I have so many funny stories of driving to church camp every summer, family dinners, listening to him cook in the kitchen, and Canada....that I will cherish forever. Much love to my second family.

Thoughts, prayers and love to the family at this difficult time. Rudi had a big impact on me and my family. I have found memories of serving on the vestry and having meetings in his law offices. Babtisms and Sunday services bring back fond memories. I hope his family can celebrate his wonderful life at this difficult time as he was a very special man who impacted so many.

Rudy was a great listener. When he spoke it was from a listeners prospective. He was a great community member and a classic example of Servant Leadership. He was a mentor and a friend. I value the time I was able to spend with Rudy, it truly was a gift. His quiet form of counsel will be missed.

Ruth and I send our most sincere condolences. We treasure our memories of that sunny day last summer when we shared lunch at the Ullswater Church barbeque. Sorry we cannot come down for the funeral service - we do not have valid passports or we would be there. We shall be there in spirit. Be assured that our prayers and support are there for you and your family. Blessings! (The Rev.) Mal and Ruth Binks, Huntsville Ontario.
