Obituary of Karen Beth Crooks

Karen Beth Crooks, age 67, Covington, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro. She was born on October 21, 1951in Blossburg, a daughter of Irwin and Ruth (Harris) Coons, Sr. Karen was married to James Crooks. She worked for Mansfield University in food services, and she enjoyed camping and playing cards. Karen is survived by her husband; a son, Jeff Wood of East Point, PA; two step sons, Michael Todd Crooks of FL, and Joshua Crooks of Wellsboro; a step daughter, Dawn (Richard) Huck of Marsh Creek; one brother, Irwin (Joan) Coons, Jr. of Wellsboro; two sisters, Ellen LeBlanc of Covington, and Anne (Gordon) Brooks of Arnot; grandchildren Cassie, Heather, Sadie, Corey, Megan and Lexie. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Travis Makley and Michael Wood; and her first husband, Roger Makley. In honoring Karen's wishes, there will be no services.
