Obituary of Virginia C. Roy

Virginia Charlotte Roy, age 74, of Westfield, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Carleton Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Wellsboro. She was born on September 15, 1945 in Philadelphia, a daughter of George and Myrtle (Kain) Birkhead. Virginia was the wife of Ronald S. Roy whom she shared 56 years of marriage with. Virginia is survived by her husband; a daughter, Virginia Charlotte Roy MclLhenny of Harrisburg, PA two sons, Ronald (Elizabeth) Roy of Allentown, PA and Randy (Lisa) Roy of Woodstock, GA ; twelve grandchildren; one great granddaughter and one great grandson; three brothers, George Birkhead of Quakertown, PA, Harold Birkhead of FL, and Eugene (Frances) Birkhead of FL; two sisters, Joan Ross of Trevose, PA, and Myrtle (Charles) Dinda of Trevose, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Wendy May Roy; and a brother, Leonard Birkhead and a son-in-law Jeff S. MclLhenny. Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield 16933. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM with Pastor Ed Siddle officiating. A burial will in Newtown Cemetery in Newtown, PA at a later date.
