I was a sales rep for JenSal Labs in the early '70s. Doc Barber was a handsome man, straight talker with a kind nature. RIP.

"Doc" was the most kind, generous and supportive father-in -law a guy could ask for! The love that he showed to his entire family through his actions and concern for all of us will never be forgotten. I will miss you "Doc", Rest in Peace.

Dr. Barber was my "Uncle Ellie;" married to my Dad's sister, Gina (Aunt Virginia). As a kid, I spent a wonderful summer in Mansfield riding with him on his calls. After losing touch, I saw him again just a few years ago. I deeply regret not knowing him better--obviously one of those special people who made the world a better place for his having been there. Well done, Uncle Ellie!

Doc was my predecessor at the Department of Agriculture and I fondly remember all the help he gave me when I started the job. I had known him prior to that and he was one of the reasons I took the job. Please know that you are all in my prayers.
My condolences to all.

My condolences to the Barber Family. Dr. Barber was a savior for one of the dogs and many of the cattle on my patent’s farm. I especially remember taking Twinkles to him after he got in front of the hay mower and almost lost his leg, because I assisted as Doc Barber worked to sew and bandage him. Thank God for his love of animals and praise God for his longevity. May he Rest In Peace.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Doc was the best Vet in all of PA: Night and day he would be available for our pet emergency needs. He saved my best friend , my kitty, as a child and I never forgot how he calmed me and how nice he was to us. I'm sure there is a rainbow bridge where pets wait to greet those they love....Doc will have an abundance of love waiting for him. God Bless.

Dad would have wanted us to light a candle and thank Ellie for being talented, dedicated, and...entertaining - as an "older" kid in L'ville w/Dad (who was younger) and as basketball spectator at MHS or anywhere else.
Ellie's talent and dedication were most important, but I can still remember the story that Diane told me about his landlady at U Penn. He was apparently making too much noise on that second floor and his response to her was: "What do you think I am? A g&^ da8& butterfly!"
Will remember that forever, even though talent, dedication, and love for his fam trumped all.

Doc was my first landlord, such a kind man. I was a second gen MU student (my daughter is there now - third gen!). Doc had a nice, clean and safe apartment on Main Street. We felt safe there, Doc had his eye on us, thank you for everything! My sincere condolences to the family.
