Ruby, Chelsi and Chelsea...I am so terribly sad to hear of Steve’s untimely passing. As you all know, Steve was an awesome person all around and I’m so glad to have had the pleasure to know him. I can only imagine the pain you are going through and hope and pray that God brings you the peace that passes all understanding and fills your head with all the wonderful memories of Steve. I have had the good fortune to have been Steve’s manager for the past 3 years.
Having been a manager in corporate IT for over 20 years and in that time I have interviewed hundreds of job candidates. In all that time only on a rare occasion or two has the interview itself ended 5 minutes into the meeting and a discussion between friends began. My interview with Steve was one such exception. I was soot telling him stories of my military service and he was telling me about digging a trench in the snow so that he could crawl underneath to work on it.
Steve was much admired and respected by both peer and customer alike. Steve’s technical and problem solving skills were top notch and his honest straightforward manner was much appreciated.
I and our entire team were greatly saddened by Steve’s passing. The team will miss their sharp and solid co-worker always willing to help and I will miss an associate and a friend.
