Obituary of Carol Porter

Carol Jean Porter, a life-long resident of Tioga, PA passed on February 6, 2019 at the age of 72 in her loving home. Carol was born in Wellsboro on June 16, 1946 to Norman and Ruby (Horton) Colegrove. Carol is survived by her husband Robert "Hank" Porter; her daughter, Meagan Hutcheson; her step- children, Becky (Lonnie) Heffner, Matt (Billie Jo) Porter, Abby Perich (Jason Glime), Wendy (Chuck) Fiscus; nine grandchildren. Carol is predeceased by her sister, Patricia (Robert) Welsh. A special thanks to Elaine Jelliff and Cathy Stephens for all their love and support. Carol was a devoted, compassionate, and creative woman. She enjoyed spending time outside on the farm with her loving husband; working in the garden, raking hay in the fields, and caring for the animals. Carol was blessed with many talents including; writing, calligraphy, painting and crafts. Her talents were showcased throughout her 32 years of teaching. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2PM at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 6 Broad St., Tioga, PA. Burial will be in Farmington Hill Cemetery.
