Recently I came across a math text that Professor Engel gave to me. He was my favorite prof on the math faculty. I know this is 3 years late, but just letting the family know I always remember him explaining the most difficult concepts so simply and elegantly.

Sorry to hear about Clark I grew up with Clark and Wayne.we were just country kids living in country Kansas. We went to a country school first to eight grade, around 28 in school. out back was a horse barn where we put our horses after riding to school each day. The school was heated by a coal stove many times Clark and I would go out together to get the coal for the stove , And we had a lot of snow back then. Our favorite game was any over the coal shed. Clark and Wayne lived around three miles from Pierson school. Their dad Walt was the first to get a television set. The first place I ever watched television. Friday night was for the Friday night fights only. I thank Clark and Wayne for being part of my live and so many good memories. Claude ( Mel ) Kimbrel. 855f7

Dear Wendy, Dan and Courtney,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your Dad and grandfather. Clark and I shared many stories as we tended our gardens over the years and he always had a funny story to give me a chuckle. He was a great neighbor and friend. May you find peace in your memories of him.
Sincerely,
Fran

On many occasions my paths crossed with Mr. Engel. I always knew him with a great smile.
In recent years, I had the pleasure of visiting with him when he came in to the butcher shop. We would talk recipes and entertaining - or some other anecdote to spark a good chat.
I'm no longer at the shop - and haven't seen Mr.E in many months. I'm going to remember him smiling...and I'm going to try gooseberry pie the next time I see it on a menu.
Rest now, Mr. Engel

I always looked forward to when Clark and his girls would come back to Kansas and visit. So many fond memories at the Engel homestead, playing in the house and barn, or just sitting and visiting with everyone. Those are some of my favorite childhood memories.

My thoughts are with Clark’s close family and friends. May the good memories help ease your loss.
As I remember, he also enjoyed some bourbon and playing cards on occasion.

I was so sorry to hear that your Dad passed away. I never actually got the chance to meet him but I truly wish I had. I feel like I knew him just from all the stories Missy and Courtney have told over the years. I know he will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.
