Obituary of Irene L. Cuda
Irene Laura Cuda, age 96, of Liberty, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her home. She was born on November 13, 1921 in Liberty, PA, a daughter of Henry and Erna Clara (Hildebrandt) Urban. Irene was the wife of the late Lawrence Ellis (Tony) Cuda who died in 1977. She was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, in Sebring, PA, until its closure in 1988, when she became a member of the Liberty Lutheran Church congregation. A gentle soul, Irene cherished nature. She delighted in tending to flora & fauna, loved to gaze at the night sky, and fully embraced the peaceful solitude & independence of country living.
Irene is survived by two daughters, Tanya Cuda of Rochester, NY, Carol Wojcik of Allegany, NY; sister, Doris Miller of Penn Yan, NY; sister-in-law, Vivian Urban of Liberty, PA; four grandchildren; Lisa Wojcik, Terry Levandoski, Michelene Horning, Michael (Todd) Levandoski; great grandson; Charlie Levandoski. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence (Tony); her daughter, Donna VonNeida; and her brothers & sisters, Alice, Art, Edwin, Ella, Gert, Karl & Walt.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 19th, 2018 at the Liberty Lutheran Church, Liberty, PA. Visitation for friends & family begins at 3:30 PM. The memorial service begins at 4 PM, followed by food & fellowship. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Animal Care Sanctuary, PO Box A, East Smithfield, PA 18817, or, online via animalcaresanctuary.org.
