Obituary of James "Jim" Hamilton
James M. Hamilton, age 91, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Broad Acres. He was born on June 21, 1926 in Elora, TN, a son of Merton and Daisy "Betty" (Money) Hamilton. James was the husband of Eleanor J. (Yoder) Hamilton who he was married to for 72 years and they lived in Liberty, PA most of their lives. He was employed as a manager at the East Smithfield Farm Milk Plant and worked as a farm inspector for Dairy Farmers of America for many years. James was a member of the Freiden's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and wood working.
James is survived by three sons, J. Scott (Karen) Hamilton of Henrietta, NY, David (Nancy) Hamilton of Nazareth, PA, Todd (Kimberly) Hamilton of Canton, PA; two daughters, Sharyn (Maynard) Kreger of Hornell, NY, Vicky Green of Nazareth, PA; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a sister, Marie Shultis of Rochester, NY.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 1PM to 2PM at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2PM with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating.
