Obituary of Daniel Michael Fortney

Daniel Michael Fortney, age 66, of Orangeburg, SC, passed away at his home on April 17, 2018. He was born August 15, 1951, the son of Daniel and Madeline (Ferranti) Fortney. Daniel was an "over the road" truck driver who loved spending time with his family. His favorite things were cooking, barbecuing, and hunting. Daniel is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Rasodo; two daughters, Angela Han, Annette Fortney, both of Tampa, FL; sons, Daniel Fortney of Blossburg, PA and Brandon Fortney and step-son, Chris Rosado, both of Orangeburg, SC; brother, Raymond Haslett, Philippines; 7 sisters, Linda (Robert) Smith of Morris Run, P A, Karen Crum of Stoney Fork, PA, Nancy (James) Dawes of Trout Run, PA; Jeanette (Joseph) Witucki of Morris Run, PA; Vivian (John) Miller of Mt. Joy, PA, Susan Overpeck of Tioga, PA, Arloween Witucki of Blossburg, PA; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by brothers, Terry Fortney, Robert Fortney, and a sister, Sheila Smith.
