Obituary of Anna Belle Rice

Anna Belle Rice, age 85, of Wellsboro, PA, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Broad Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. She was born June 4, 1932 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Daniel and Agnes (Schultz) Fisher. Anna Belle was the wife of the late C. Richard Rice. She was employed at her home as a switchboard operator, seamstress, notary public, and retired from Commonwealth Bank as a teller. Anna Belle was a member of the East Lawrence Baptist Church. She learned to crochet from her Grandma Fisher and found joy sharing it with others. Anna Belle also enjoyed genealogy, painting, camping, driving cross country and spending her winters in Florida. Anna Belle is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Cecelia Rice of Anderson, SC; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Raymond Criss of Atlanta, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Sherry Fisher of Wellsboro, PA, brother-in-law, Robert Russell Rice of Bloomsburg, PA; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Carroll Faivre, Reita and George Borden, Bonnie Allen, Nancy and Tom Mosso, Cheryl and Tom Kaminski, all of Wellsboro, PA; 3 sisters-in-law, Evelyn Leonard of Columbia Cross Rds., PA, Beverly McMullen of Morrisdale, PA, Gladys Fisher of Wellsboro, PA; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey Rice of Campbellsville, KY, Joshua and Jacque Criss of Atlanta GA, Ashlee and Josh Burrell of Millerton, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers, Lewis and Daniel Fisher, a brother-in-law, Jesse Allen, a sister, Alberta Confer, and a grandson, Christopher Rice. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the E. Lawrence Baptist Church, 1139 E. Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville, PA 16929. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Wellsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the E. Lawrence Baptist Church.
