Obituary of Jeansylvia Anderson

Jeansylvia (Bixby) Wiegand Anderson, age 80, of Blossburg, PA, died Friday, March 16, 2018 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. She was born on December 1, 1937 in St. Cloud, MN, a daughter of Paul W. and Ruth J. (Lowry) Bixby. Jeansylvia graduated from State College High School, PA in 1955 and lived in many US states and lived and studied in the Philippines from 1955-1956. Jeansylvia graduated from Penn State University in 1960. She married Robert W. Wiegand and later in life, married John Anderson. With a quick wit and engaging smile, she charmed all she met. She was an avid reader, prolific journal writer and a nature lover. If you want to honor her memory, love a neighbor, help a friend and pass it on. Habitat for Humanity was a favorite charity.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Graves of Hemet, CA; a son, Scott Weigand of Hemet CA; a brother, Mark P. (Angela) Bixby of Wellsboro, PA, and a sister, Mary B. Kisner (Bert) of Boalsburg, PA; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
